Additional Property Attributes

The Property was an approximately 0.79-acre, triangular-shaped parcel, and contained one three-story, approximately 30,000-square-foot building. The Property was used as a school, but was vacant and the Property owner was using the Property building to store miscellaneous items. The portion of the Property not covered by the school building was paved with asphalt. According to information from the Henry C. Trost Historical Organization website (http://www.henrytrost.org/buildings/hill-street-school/), the Hill Street School was constructed in 1920. The Sanborn map for the Property lists a construction date of 1921.

Former Use: Based on IDA�s review of historical documents, the Property building was constructed in 1920/1921 and was used as a public school. Prior to the construction of this building, a different school building had been located on the south portion of the Property and two single-family residences were located on the north side of the Property from at least 1904 until redevelopment of the Property with the current school building. A roller skating rink operated in the school gymnasium, and was shut down in 2009. It is probable the Property building has not had an active tenant since 2009. The Property building is used by the Property owner to store miscellaneous items such as furniture, carpets, and appliances.
