Additional Property Attributes

Approximately 1,837 cu. yds of petroleum contaminated soil (PCS) were transported to and disposed of at the Pickles Butte Landfill. Next steps: Conduct a risk evaluation using available Site data to evaluate exposure risk from various pathways from remaining soil residual PCS and petroleum impacted ground water contaminants of concern (COCs) exceeding screening levels; Assess the condition of Site wells, including the presence of free product, the need for redevelopment or bailer/vacuum truck events to remove SPH; Conduct additional groundwater sampling to assess the COC concentrations in groundwater following the soil removal action to evaluate potential downward trends as a result of remedial activity.

Former Use: Property was a gas station and convenience store from the 1930s until the mid-2000s. Above ground storage tanks (ASTs) were installed in late 1960s. Past owners include- Delores Sudden (1972), Albert J. and Nina Kurpjuweit (1996).
