Additional Property Attributes

The subject property is located adjacent to a heavily traveled arterial highway (WV-2) in Follansbee, WV. The property is also located in the shale gas rich reserves of the Ohio River Valley. The property has been sold to a developer with plans for redevelopment based on geographic Former Use: Construction of the Follansbee Middle School began in 1922 and opened as Follansbee High School with addition in 1928. Since construction, the school district has completed several additions to the subject property including classroom additions, field house, and athletic stadium. The current owner (Brooke County Board of Education) is committed to having the subject property re-purposed into a valuable community asset.
