Additional Property Attributes

There was no evidence of RECs. While not considered RECs, the presence of asbestos-containing material and lead-based paint was confirmed in the school building. No further investigation is necessary. However, asbestos-containing material and lead-based paint should be properly removed and disposed prior to demolition of the building

Former Use: The site is a former school building of the Lewis R-I School District; more recently it has been used as a warehouse. The Lewis County Development Authority requested the assessment for the site. Plans for the site are unknown, as it's believed the appearance of the school may hinder its sale, but the parties involved are said to be working on several possibilities.
