Additional Property Attributes

The Property has formerly been used as a gas station, truck stop, and auto salvage yard. The auto salvage yard closed and most vehicles and materials were removed in 2003. The results of the environmental assessments indicate the compounds detected in soil and groundwater do not represent an unacceptable risk for carcinogenic or non-carcinogenic health effects for outdoor workers, construction workers, or recreators. Concentrations of arsenic in groundwater present a risk of carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health effects for residential users. The proposed future use of the property is as a nature park with some walking trails and other recreational activities. No remedial action levels are required for the property provided a deed restriction is implemented prohibiting the use of groundwater as a potable water source and restricting the site to non-residential use.
