Additional Property Attributes

Current pool and buildings were installed in 1975 and has been operated as a public facility since then. Minor modifications and upgrades have occurred over the years, but the last 2 summers the pool has been closed due to deteriorating conditions. Since the pool was built in the 1970s, it is probable that asbestos, lead, PCBs and/or other hazardous chemicals were used in the construction, used in operation, or are contained on site. The property is to remain a public park with a municipal pool facility. The determination of how much can be rehabilitated versus removed/replaced is ongoing. Existing pool, systems and buildings to be determined if they can be salvaged or contain contamination prior to removal, so that proper procedures can be followed.
