The scope of the project is demolition of this vacant office building that was d a public nuisance in 2015. The City had an involuntary acquisition through tax foreclosure in October 2016 and is prepared to demolish the property. Shaker Rocks LLC plans to build a state of the art, competitive rock climbing gym on the property. The gym will be an investment of over $2 million and will be an asset to Greater Cleveland. It is critical for attracting people of all ages to the Van Aiken Business District. Phase I ESA revealed no RECs.

Former Use: The property is a 14,000-sq. ft. office building at a significantly traveled intersection of Shaker Heights. Unoccupied for over seven years, the property has fallen into disrepair. Acquired by the City via tax foreclosure in 2016, this property was d abandoned and a public nuisance in 2015. There were various medical and office tenants in the building prior to 2000.
