Additional Property Attributes

To fully characterize the extent of contamination associated with a former gas station located on the property, four soil borings were advanced and soil was excavated on the southeast portion of the site to determine the presence of an Underground Storage Tank (UST). During excavation activities no UST was encountered but material consisting of urban fill (concrete and brick) was identified in the bottom of the excavation. Once the excavation activities were complete, one soil sample from the excavation floor, the downgradient (north) wall, and stockpile, and one duplicate sample.

Former Use: The Westminster Filling Station (former) is a 0.2 acres vacant parcel that is located in a residential area of St. Louis, Missouri. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment dated September 2014 indicates that the only recognized environmental conditions (as defined by ASTM Practice E 1527-13) is the historical presence of a filling station from at least 1937 to 1980. No additional information is available regarding the status of associated Underground Storage Tanks or potential impact to subsurface and/or groundwater systems. The site is zoned B (Two Family Residential) and is currently being considered for redevelopment to a three-unit residential building.
