Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is a 1.1-acre parcel of land (Brevard County Property Appraiser parcel # 24-36-33-35--15) located at 315 Florida Avenue, in Cocoa, Brevard County, Florida. The site has been developed with a two-story, 9,376-square-foot building, parking and utilities. The on-site building is occupied by Cocoa Elks Lodge #1532 a community social and charity events facility. Based on a review of the historical information, the site was developed with five residential buildings and a restaurant building from at least 1915 until 1919 when the restaurant building was demolished and another residential building was constructed at the site. By 1924, two of the residential buildings were converted into store buildings and an additional store building was constructed in the southeast portion of the site. The store buildings were demolished by 1930, when an original Elks Club building was constructed in the east portion of the site. The residential buildings were demolished by the late 1950s. The current building consists of the original building and an additional building, which was constructed in 1950.
