Cardno (Cardno) has prepared this Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) on behalf of the Redevelopment Commission of Greenville (Commission) for the Uptown Theater (aka Greenville Theater) hereinafter referred to as the ?subject property or site?. Located at 110 W. 5th Street, the subject site consists of a single parcel containing a former movie theater building located in the central business district of Greenville. Current and past land use is predominantly commercial and retail. Prior land use was for small warehouse structures.Parcel data provided by the City of Greenville GIS web site indicates the property identification number (PIN) for the parcel is 07085 and the approximate center of the site has geographic coordinates of latitude 35.611460 degrees north and longitude -77.373615 degrees west. Former Use: Historical information indicates past uses of adjoining properties as a furniture shop, machine shop, paint/oil store, automotive repair/service, garage, automotive sales, a feed warehouse, farm implements, and warehousing. Many of these businesses are believed to have been small commercial or retail operations that likely used small amounts of hazardous substances or petroleum products.
