The site is located at 219 Barnes Street in the downtown commercial district of Wilson, North Carolina.The site has been developed as far back as circa 1920 and has been used for numerous commercial purposes throughout the years including, but not limited to, automotive repair and storage, a tin shop, and machine shop. The Developer is proposing to rehabilitate the structure and turn them into a mixed retail/office space type of building. The front building is of two-story construction and comprises approximately 8,800 square feet on two floors. The back building is of one-story construction and comprises approximately 2,000 square feet. This building was constructed over the right-of-way for an alley.

Former Use: The subject site is located at 219 Barnes Street South in Wilson, North Carolina Wilson County identifies the site as parcel identification number 3722-30-3134 and shows the site is owned by Candace B. Holliday. The subject site is bound to the northeast by cleared land; to the southeast by cleared land and a building occupied by Moore�s Maintenance Services; to the southwest by Barnes Street, across which are a city parking lot and a building occupied by I&S Sassy Stylez Salon; and to the northwest by a vacant building. The walls of the two buildings are on the parcel boundaries. The Wilson County GIS website shows the buildings were constructed in 1920. The walls are exposed brick. The floor of the first floor of each building is concrete, and the floor of the second floor of the front building is wood planks. Ceilings in the front building are stamped metal, and the ceilings of the back building are exposed insulation over wood planks. The site is provided with public utilities by the City, but the utilities have been turned off.
