Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: According to available records, portions of the Site appear to have been originally developed between 1925 through 1948 as housing for the Midwest Refining Company. Other portions of the Site were developed from 1907 and through 1967 as part of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad and associated infrastructure. Other occupants from 1907 through the present include automotive shops (De Witts, Wyo Automotive, Judd Tire Supply, Tire-Rama), distributing (Crown, Amcon, S&S, Northern, Westburne), offices/storage for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and recreational sports (Shawnee Archery and Laser Extreme). Aerial photographs indicate that during the early 1980s, the area was being redeveloped and the railroad (which later became Union Pacific) was being removed.
