Additional Property Attributes

Guaranteed Muffler was originally home to an automotive service and gas station starting in the 1930's and continued fuel dispensing until the 1970's. Five USTs were removed in 1977. Guaranteed Muffler was established shortly thereafter in 1980. A release was assigned to the site in February of 2009 when petroleum contamination was found during a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment. The contamination was attributed to historic operations at the Guaranteed Muffler site. Once brownfields eligible, the site received a phase II ESA, which assisted the property owner in defining the extent and magnitude of contamination and meet the petrofund copay.
