Former Use: On-Site RECs 1. A spill occurred on the Subject Site in October 2017. Five 55 gallon drums containing unidentified solvents were dumped on the northeastern portion of Tract 3 near the recycling center. According to fire Marshal Brian Steele two of the drums were turned on their sides and were leaking unidentified solvent in an area of approximately 60 square feet. The spill was reportedly addressed in January 2018. 2. Trichloroethene (TCE) and beta-Benzenehexachloride (beta-BHC) contamination was discovered in the groundwater on the Subject Property in a previous Phase II report conducted by Engineering Consulting Services, LTD (ECS) on Tract 3 from an undetermined offsite source in 2001 and 2002. Additionally, ECS found concentrations of benzene from a soil boring located in the adjoining parking lot to the northwest of Tract 3. 3. According to city directories, Charlies Cleaners and Laundry occupied the Subject Property on Tract 1 from 1967-1975. 4. According to city directories, Gulf Service and College Park Automotive were historically located on Tract 1 from 1975 to 1985. The Property is owned by the City of College Park.
