The Property includes the former Pellet Terminal, the Brush Beryllium Parcel, the Corner Parcel and the east and west piers. The majority of the Property was occupied by the Pellet Terminal, which was historically utilized as a transfer facility for taconite iron ore pellets. The Former Brush Beryllium Parcel was developed in approximately 1918 and was occupied by the Lorain County Electric Works and the Ohio Public Service Company before development as Brush Beryllium.Brush Beryllium operated from approximately 1935 until September 1948, when a magnesium fire destroyed one of the three buildings located at the Brush Beryllium Parcel. By 1955, all buildings formerly located on the parcel had been razed.
