Additional Property Attributes

Property was part of larger iron production facility in late 1800s-early 1900s. Property owned by General Chemical Co./Allied Chemical & Dye Corp. 1941-mid 1950s. Operated by Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. 1960s-1970s. Operated as Gem City vehicle salvage and storage yard 1970s-1980s. Currently used as baseball training facility. RECs include potential undocumented releases on-site due to length of time in operation and nature of operations and potential impacts due to historical industrial use of nearby properties. Phase II: Arsenic in soil above residential RSLs and above industrial RSLs in two locations. No other inorganics, SVOCs/PAHs, VOCs, PCBs detected at concentrations greater than residential RSLs. TPH detected below 50mg/kg. Concentrations of consistuents detected are consistent with industrial/commercial urban soil. Results do not indicate significant impact to surface or subsurface soil.
