Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property is a small parcel located in central Kasaan. It was previously a private residence. In January 2018, the Organized Village of Kasaan applied for a DEC Brownfield Assessment and Cleanup service to characterize stained soil that was discovered when the former residence and HHOT were removed to facilitate renovation of the area for tourism. The community would like to have the area characterized and cleaned up so it can be utilized as a park with food gathering capacity next to their cabins, carving shed, and cafe.
