Property Highlights

No Recognized Environmental Conditions or lead-based paint were identified. Asbestos was detected in some building materials. All asbestos was properly removed and disposed of in the fall of 2020. The site was successfully redeveloped into a child development center.

Former Use: The site served as a skilled care nursing home since 1971. It was vacated during the flooding of March 2019. The former owners, Good Samaritan Society, relocated the nursing home after the flooding and gifted the building at a discounted price to the Village of Wood River.
