Additional Property Attributes

In 2006, the City of Atlanta in partnership with the Conservation Fund and others started to assemble and redevelop properties in the Vine City neighborhood for a new public park- Vine City Park. In 2008, a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) paid for by the City's Brownfield Program provided the proper due diligence before purchasing the single parcel on Walnut Street. Acquisition and redevelopment costs for the entire 1-acre Vine City Park was nearly $1 million. Majority of the funding came from the local tax allocation district (or, tax incremental financing district).
