A resolution was passed by SLDC on 5/23/2018 to make a loan of up to $730,000 to clean Asbestos, Lead, and other universal hazardous waste from SLDC�s EPA Revolving Loan Fund for Green Street Armory Investors, LLC. for the remediation of the Armory project. The loan agreement was executed on 10/2/2018. Approximately 184,000 SF of entertainment space dor the area, and will also include public improvement to the surrounding area, to better connect to the facility to the adjacent Metrobus station.

Former Use: The building was constructed in 1938 to house the 138th Infantry Division. The building was later used to house other facilities including indoor tennis, concerts, and was used for a time as an amateur sports facility. The building has been vacant for more than 10 years.
