Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property consists of three adjoining parcels (TMS 163-07-00-002, TMS 163-07-00-003, & TMS 163-07-00-004) encompassing approximately 3.08-acres of land. The three adjacent parcels are respectively located at 720, 714, and 702 North Jefferies Boulevard in Walterboro, South Carolina. The subject property encompasses approximately 3.08 acres, and formerly contained at least five (5) structures in the western portion of the site, along N. Jefferies Blvd. All structures have been demolished, and only the former building foundations remain. The eastern half of the site is heavily vegetated and undeveloped. The subject property is known to have formerly contained a car dealership and tractor dealership/service center (720 & 714 N. Jefferies Blvd.), a former carwash and a headstone carving operation (702 N. Jefferies Blvd.) The site is currently owned by Charles H. Sweat, Jr. and is vacant. The subject property has been assigned EPA ID #110017160775, which is listed in connection with the site�s UST listing with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) UST Program. � The site appears to be disconnect from utilities, but the surrounding area appears to feature overhead powerline, underground fiber optic cable, underground stormwater/sewer, and underground water supply service. . Stormwater drains are present along N. Jefferies Blvd. � What appear to be excess building demolition materials have been pushed into the eastern undeveloped portion of the site. � Former foundational slabs are present along the western portion of the site. � What appear to be three (3) former fill ports for a UST system are present to the west of the former carwash . � What appears to be a sump is present in the area of the former carwash. � What appear to be two (2) former hydraulic lift systems are present in the area of the former car/tractor dealership. � Pole mounted transformers are present along the western property boundary. No placards indicating the presence or absence of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were present on the transformers, which appear to be in good condition. � De minimis household waste is present throughout the site. � Abandoned commercial structures are present to the south (restaurant) and west (auto service station, across N. Jefferies Blvd.). Active commercial structures are present to the west (restaurants) and north (retail).
