Additional Property Attributes

Property use was residential from the 1900s until 2014 when the residential structure was demolished. Currently, the Property consists of a 1,800 square-foot (sf) single-story, two car garage on approximately 0.16 acre of land owned by the City. The Property parcel identification number is 01-2382-02645-000 and is zoned Commercial. Grass is present north and west of the garage. The majority of the garage interior was empty except for a propane gas grill, two propane tanks, folding table and chairs and coolers. Adjacent properties consist of residential property to the north and east, an alley and concrete paved parking lot to the south and 11th Street N and vacant property to the west. The adjacent property to the southwest was used as a Manufacture Gas Plant (MGP) from the late1880s to 1960. Remediation consisting of soil removal was conducted in 2016 and 2019. The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDH) has requested long-term groundwater monitoring at the MGP site. Three groundwater monitoring well stick-up protective covers were served on the vacant former MGP during the site reconnaissance on February 5, 2020. The adjacent property to the northeast was used as a machine shop and automotive repair facility from the 1950s to 1960s.
