Additional Property Attributes

The property is located at the northwest corner of NE 4th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, in a historically developed residential area dating back to the early 1900s. Former Use: The site is a 0.21-acre tract of undeveloped land. However, the Phase I conducted under the Oklahoma City Brownfield Program for the new buyer, the Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority (Oklahoma City's land bank), identified some oil & gas activity in the area as well as the 4th Street and Double Eagle Refineries. So, additional soil and groundwater sampling was done, which identified TPH, VOCs, and SVOCs in soil and groundwater in one boring at the southwest corner of the site (along 4th Street). Depth to groundwater in that boring was approximately 15'. No impact was identified in 3 other borings at the site. The consultant submitted the findings to the DEQ but since the impact appeared oil and gas exploration and production related, DEQ recommended submitting to the OCC. The OCC reviewed all reports and recommended site closure with the caveat of a current and future groundwater restriction.

Future development: OCURA has a potential developer that would like to build a residence at the site.
