Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the property consisted of vacant land in at least 1952. Between 1952 and 1962, two of the current buildings, three sheds, and a railroad spur were constructed on the property. One of the sheds was demolished by 1996. Portions of the current buildings were demolished between 2007 and 2009, to complete the current layout. The buildings were occupied by Prince Lumber Company between at least the 1960s and at least 1988. PM was unable to document the operations associated with the lumber company. According to the site escort, the property was formerly occupied by a brick plant, however, PM was unable to obtain any additional information on the brick plant. PM was also unable to document the use of the buildings between at least 1989 and 2012. However, based on the layout of the buildings it is likely that the buildings have been occupied by various lumber companies or manufacturing activities. The buildings have been occupied by the current lumber company since 2012. Operations consist of receiving and storage of raw lumber, planing the wood into shape, dipping the shaped wood into a fungicide, and then shipping the lumber offsite.
