Additional Property Attributes

Salt Lake City has been in communication with the owner and would like to purchase this property. The property is adjacent to the Jordan River and a current city redevelopment project where we are improving public access and enjoyment of the river and installing a boat ramp. Has been operated as an automotive repair shop on the property since at least 2016. Salt Lake City suspects there may be potential presence of contaminants associated with this type of activity. The site was listed as automotive repair or a gas station since at least 1958. The previous operator, Pioneer Tire Plus removed three underground storage tanks in 1994. Two 2,000-gallon gasoline tanks and one 500-gallon oil tank were found to be leaking. The site was remediated and file closed according to Utah DEQ records in 1997.
