Additional Property Attributes

The Property was developed for residential and commercial use from the 1880s through the late 1950s or early 1960s. During this time period, the Property was occupied by residential structures, a warehouse, and/or an automotive repair facility. By 1963, the Property was redeveloped with the currently existing office building and parking lot and occupied by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until late 1980s. The City purchased the Property in 1992 from US West Communications and the building served as offices for the City of Fargo Police Department until early 2020. The Property currently consists of a 17,280-square foot (sf), two-story with basement office building and a concrete paved parking lot on approximately 0.56 acre of land currently owned by the City. The building is currently unoccupied. Adjacent properties consist of 4th Street North and Fargo Civic Center to the east; a parking garage to the south; 3rd Avenue North and City of Fargo offices to the north; and American Federal Bank and Prairie Public Television to the west.
