Additional Property Attributes

The Site is currently developed with an automotive repair facility equipped with three garage doors and a central office (the "Site building"). The Site building is located on the western half of the Site. The northwestern portion and eastern half of the Site consists of an asphalt-paved parking lot, used for car storage. The Site is surrounding by a chain-link fence. Access to the Site is provided by entranceways along Montello Street and Petronelli Way. The Site was historically developed in the 1800s with the southeast portion of the L.C. Bliss Co Shoe Factory, and the east half of the H.T. Marshall Boot Factory. Historic structures included two main factory buildings, a boiler room, an engine house, and a coal house. The buildings were historically utilized for the manufacturing, cutting, stitching, dressing, and storage of sole leather. In addition, a coal house, a portion of a boiler room, and two machine shops operated at the Site as part of the manufacturing operations. Sometime between the early and mid-1900s the manufacturing facilities were razed and the Site redeveloped by the early 1940s as a gasoline filling station and service station. The exact historic status, and current condition of the USTs were not provided by available historical documents. By 1995, the Site was occupied by automotive service operations. The site will be redeveloped for mixed residential/commercial use. BRA has entered into a Exclusive Negotiating Agreement with Trinity Financial for the redevelopment of the site as an 80 unit mixed income residential development.
