Additional Property Attributes

The Site is located on the southwest side of College Park, Georgia, approximately 1.3 miles southwest of the downtown business district. It is comprised of a 0.375-acre commercial parcel, developed with a vacant single-story commercial building. The on-Site building is approximately 3,000-square feet, and is situated centrally on the parcel, encompassed by paved driveways and parking. The Site is listed for disposal of hazardous waste in the GeoSearch database records as a Resource & Recovery Act - Non-Generator (EPA ID# GAD981216773). The Site additionally appears on ECHO and FRS databases due to the hazardous waste disposal registry. These listing are associated with the former on-Site dry-cleaning facility, identified as Jamestown Martinizing Cleaners. The dry cleaner operated on-Site from the late 1960s until 2001, and is listed for disposal of F002 (listed hazardous waste), included chlorinated solvents trichloroethene and tetrachloroethylene. Based on the above information, historical on-Site dry-cleaning represents a potential source for latent hazardous substances release(s) into the subsurface. As such, it is considered a REC. The current property owner would not allow the Phase II ESA, so the developer did not proceed with the transaction.
