Additional Property Attributes

The property was used as a gasoline service station and auto repair from 1925 through 2017. Historic records indicate 4 USTs on the property, but there were no records indicating that the USTs were removed. Proposed reuse included converting the existing building into a facility to house the Morganfield Rescue Squad and its equipment. in December 2020, a Phase II revealed elevated chemical constituents. A Site Management Plan was developed and submitted to KY DEP in July 2021. In June 2022, KY DEP issued a managed closure and filed an Environmental Covenant indicating that the site was ready for reuse within the parameters of the Site Management Plan.
