Additional Property Attributes

The property is believed to be a former gas and/or service station that ceased operations in the early 1980s. Several parties have expressed interest in purchasing the property over the years, but they backed out due to uncertainty about the environmental conditions and the potential for tanks to still be present. The City is interested in purchasing the property for use as a visitors center and/or museum.
The site investigation found limited petroleum contamination in soils and PCBs in one shallow soil sample. Residual disinfection byproducts were found in several groundwater samples. A geophysical survey (GPR) identified four underground storage tanks of unknown construction.
