Additional Property Attributes

The site is located at 3025 West Madison Street in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. The site included an approximately 3.62-acre tract of land that consists of five interconnected structures, a gravel parking area, and grass. Features of this site include the five structures: a 68,000-square-foot, five-story building (A), a 12,000-square-foot four-story building (B), a 48,000-square-foot, four-story building (C), a 73,000-square-foot, four-story building (D), and a 13,000-square-foot, one-story building.

The Site operated as The American Tobacco Company from its construction around 1905 until the late 70's or early 80's. After the closure of the American Tobacco Company, the site was utilized for light manufacturing and as a warehouse until the early 2010's. In May of 2020 the City of Louisville issued an emergency order to demolish the on-site structures. This decision was made based on extensive rainfall in the area that imminently threatened degrading the stability of the structures. Currently, the site is vacant.
