Additional Property Attributes

This site has served as a train station with office space since it was built in 1921. The Town of Rockingham would like to purchase only the building. The rest of the 8-10 acres site will continue to be owned by the State of Vermont (they will long term lease the building parcel to the town). The town is aware of asbestos issues as well as an old coal furnace in the basement, so they requested a Hazardous Building Materials Assessment. EPA approved RLF funding with a 30 year land lease from VTRANS. The town is in the process of purchasing the building. WRC is working with the town to develop a grant loan agreement for lead and asbestos abatement for $300,000.
