This property was a historic landfill. They entered the Brownfields program before they built the hospital building on top of the old landfill, so they ended up installing a vapor mitigation system underneath the hospital so vapors wouldn't enter building. They also restricted the use of groundwater at the site, minimized the impact of construction on the onsite landfill, and monitored the groundwater for two years. All of this was conducted under ODEQ oversight.
