Additional Property Attributes

This large property had several service stations on it. This property was vacant land until the 1890's when it was used for oil and gas production and services, railroading, manufacturing (brick and tile, carts, etc), canning, mercantile, meat packing, boilers and engineering, building supplies, land development, agriculture processing, construction, and as a bindery. Most of these businesses were privately owned. Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority acquired the property at some point. OCURA sold the 10 parcels of land to private developers. Several USTs and ASTs were removed and LUST cases were dealt with through the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. The property was redeveloped into multiple businesses including a theater, restaurants, and Sonic headquarters. Multiple parking lots were also built on the property. A large portion of the Bricktown Canal runs through the middle of the property.
