Additional Property Attributes

The original portion of the plant was constructed in the early 1920s by Tulsa Boiler and Machine Company and was purchased by Flint in 1931. The facility was used to manufacture boilers and steel towers for the oil and gas exploration industry. The company name started as Flint and changed to Tulsa Rig and Reel and eventually to Flint Steel Company. Flint held continuous title to the property from 1932 to present. Samples results showed that contaminant levels were below risk-based levels for the reuse of the property as industrial. Therefore, cleanup was not needed and contaminants were not reported in ACRES. Any potential future plans are unknown at this time.
