Additional Property Attributes

The Scipio A Jones House is a historic house in Little Rock that was home to Scipio A Jones, a renowned African-American attorney. After standing vacant for several years, and being damaged in a fire in 2020, the house is in a state of disrepair. The Dunbar/ Horace Mann Archives Building Project Foundation (a non-profit) is working to remediate the house and redevelop it as a museum and archival depository. Pulaski County performed a Phase I on the site in the spring of 2023 and an asbestos and lead survey preformed in the summer of 2023 found asbestos and lead in building materials.
