Additional Property Attributes

The subject site has served as a hospital building since 1959. The west side of the building is no longer being used and has been vacant since October 2022. The eastern attachment is currently being used as a long-term care facility. Central City would like to redevelop the vacant portion of the subject property with new housing units. Asbestos was positively identified in several building materials throughout the facility. All asbestos-containing building materials must be properly removed and disposed of before any building demolition or renovations occur that may disturb the materials. Lead-based paint was also identified on some building materials. If future renovations will disturb/damage these materials, the lead-based paint must be abated or encapsulated to prevent lead exposure to future occupants.
