Additional Property Attributes

Kari Gray and her husband, David, are currently using this property as storage for farm items and use it as a place to do maintenance on their farm equipment. They plan to continue this use post-assessment. They are mainly concerned with getting the environmental assessment done on the property as its surrounded by residential properties. Kari runs a licensed home daycare in Cordell and has done so for 30 years. She and her husband are farmers, so "land being clean and healthy for everyone is important to [them]." OCC records for this facility indicate that its tanks were installed in 1966 - gasoline and used oil. The first records the OCC has from the facility are from 1986, and since then no spills have been reported. However, the 20-year records gap from 1966 to 1986 could contain unreported releases and should be investigated.

The OCC completed the Phase I with our $2M Assessment Grant in August of 2023. The Phase II QAPP was first submitted to EPA for approval on September 7, 2023, and is in its final round of edits. Once OCC receives the signed QAPP, we will be able to proceed with Phase II activities. Hoping to complete the activities in Jan-Feb 2024. The Phase II will indicate whether the OCC PSTD will open a release case, in which case the remaining corrective action/"cleanup" would be overseen and paid for by another OCC program.
