Additional Property Attributes

The Site is identified as Sussex County Tax Parcel 132-1.11-37.00 and is approximately 1.0 acre in size and proposed to be redeveloped and used for the Town of Blades for a potential new Town Hall, community centers, access to greenspaces, potential boat launch etc. The Site is located on a small peninsula and gently slopes to the east towards the Nanticoke River, which tributaries bounds the eastern portion of the Site. There is one (1) main brick building on the Site and four (4) smaller connected and unconnected storage sheds/structures in the rear of the main building. The remaining parts of the site are covered by asphalt/millings with some vegetation, brush, and wetlands in the rear of the Site.
The Site was historically operated as Nanticoke Cleaners, a dry-cleaning facility, from at least the late 1950s to the early 2000s. The Site has reportedly been vacant since the closure of the dry-cleaning facility. Prior to its use as a dry-cleaning facility, the Site was reportedly an undeveloped property. The Site is currently owned by the Estate of Loubey, with the owners listed as Gomez Rosalyn and Kaycee Loubey (Vancouver, WA).
