Additional Property Attributes

The Hays 10-Plex (site) is located at 130 White Clay Avenue in Hays, Montana. The Fort Belknap Tribal Housing Authority (FBTHA) currently owns the property and is interested in renovating the building to offer improved senior housing options to the community. The site contains one structure and is owned by the FBTHA. The site is in a mixed-use area and is bound by North Mayor Drive to the north and east, White Clay Avenue to the south, and undeveloped land to the west. There is one permanent structure at the site. The building is primarily a single-story structure, although there is a second story above the kitchen on the south side of the building. The entire structure is approximately 11,000 square feet. The structure features a metal roof with fluorescent lighting and cove base throughout. FBTHA has reportedly owned the site since 1970. The building was constructed around 1970 and was previously used for senior housing. Currently, the building is partially vacant and houses the Fort Belknap Indian Community's Diabetes Exercise and Screening Program on the second-floor atrium. FBTHA would like to renovate the building to offer improved senior housing options to the community.

Access limitations at the time of the investigation prohibited sampling in several areas including 7 out of 10 apartment units, the office area, and the second-floor atrium.
