Additional Property Attributes

The site is located at 188 Mel Street southeast of Hays, Montana. The site contains one structure and is part of a much larger legal parcel owned by the Fort Belknap Indian Community. The site is in a primarily residential area and is adjacent to Mel Street to the south. The site has one structure featuring blue metal siding and a white metal roof. The building is one story and approximately 2,500 square feet. Originally built circa 1970 as a grocery store, the building now houses an amateur boxing club. Much of the interior space is open with various gym equipment on top of a painted concrete floor. Fluorescent lights line the drop-down ceiling covered with 12"x12" tiles. The building has a cove base throughout and is heated with propane heaters. FBIC has reportedly owned the site since the 1800s. The on-site structure was originally built circa1970 and was formerly used as Brown's Grocery Store. Currently, the building is used as an amateur boxing club. FBIC would like to renovate the building to create additional and expand existing recreational opportunities available to the community.
