Additional Property Attributes

The property is anticipated to be purchased by the City of Beatrice for demolition of on-site structures and redevelopment of the site as green space. This effort is part of a city plan to clear developments from properties located within designated flood hard areas and is being conducted in cooperation with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) (PPF - 09/25/2006)

Former Use: Prior to the current use of Northeast Auto as a used car sales lot, the site was operated as a filling station. A release of petroleum fuel occured at the facility, but was regulated by the NDEQ, which eventually issued a "No Further Action" letter indicating that the release posed no significant risk to human health or the environment. Prior to the filling station, the site was either vacant, a livery, a feed and grain distribution business, or sale barn.
