Additional Property Attributes

Property includes a trucking terminal and adjacent former dry cleaners. PCE contamination has migrated off site and is impaciting indoor air quality in neighboring residences. Further testing (not funded under this grant) will be needed to fully characterize property and determine cleanup actions. Indoor air quality monitoring funded separately is determining extend of air concerns and actions are being initiated to install slab depressurization systems. (PPF attached to QR 3, 4/1/06-6/30/06) Property has been entered into state voluntary cleanup program. Due to PCE soil vapor, property is no longer in the recipient's program for assessment, but we are working with the Town, state , and owner towards reuse. (PPF attached to QR 4, 7/1/06-9/30/06)

Former Use: Residential and then dry cleaners, buidings demolished property includes trucking terminal and adjacent former dry cleaner (Parkway Cleaners)lot, both are owned by Richard Daniels (the owner of RSD). The dry cleaners closed a decade ago and the buildings were removed. The trucking terminal is underutilized and included an attached parking lot.
