Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property operated as a cedar mill from at least 1907 until between 1920 and 1950 when manufacturing operations were abandoned. During that time, the subject property manufactured railroad ties and shingles. A large cedar yard was located on the south-central portion of the subject property. All structures except for the shingle mill and a warehouse building were razed in the 1950s. A gravel access drive was present across the central portion of the subject property, which lead to a go-kart track constructed near the northeastern corner of the property sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s. This track was utilized for recreational purposes until approximately 1965. The vacated track remained on the subject property until between 1992 and 1993 when it was removed and a recreational boat lunch was constructed in this same area. In addition, the former shingle mill building was razed sometime between 1992 and 1993. Remnants of the former warehouse building area still present on the southwestern corner of the subject property.
