Additional Property Attributes

Once clean, this property will be used by Goodwin College, a non-profit institution, to create a Connecticut River Campus, including public and private open space and river access. PPF - Former Motiva Petroleum Terminal, 12/20/06

Former Use: Former petroleum storage and distribution facility. Past owner Motiva Enterprises, LLC. Immediate past owner: 211 Riverside, LLC. Current owner: Goodwin College Inc deed: 2933/225 date of sale: 08/15/2007. Two one-story, brick buildings occupied the western portion of this parcel west of Riverside Drive. The buildings were constructed in 1931. The westernmost building was a former warehouse with a footprint of approximately 7,900 square feet. The second structure was a former office/garage building of approximately 7,500 square feet. The southern portion of the smaller building was used to service vehicles. The eastern portion of this parcel is located east of Riverside Drive and contains no buildings. Above ground bulk petroleum storage tanks occupied the western portion of the property beginning circa 1931 and the eastern portion of the parcel by 1952. The tanks were removed in 2002. The Buckeye Pipeline site is an approximately 0.8 acre portion of vacant land at the southeastern corner of the 11 acre 211 Riverside Drive parcel. It surrounds an area of land that is currently leased to Buckeye Pipeline.
