Additional Property Attributes

The former uses of the Site included machine shop activities, rolling and stamping, and parts storage. The surrounding properties were utilized for industrial purposes as well, including an Eveready battery manufacturing facility and a former drycleaning business. The report also identified the presence of potential asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and stained wood and concrete flooring throughout the building. Based on the historic industrial use, Burgess & Niple, Inc. recommended further investigation via a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment, which would include soil and groundwater sampling. If the building is to be remodeled or demolished, an Asbestos Survey should be conducted, as well.

Former Use: From 1903 to 1913, the Site was utilized as a Beer Garden. From 1913 through the late 1980s, the Site was utilized for industrial purposes; machining, stamping and rolling. From the late 1980s to the present, the Site has been utilized for warehousing.
