90.07 SUPPLY OF OTHER THAN CITY WATER.

On premises where water is supplied from two 2 sources, City water being one of them, the piping system for the City water shall be entirely separate from that of the other source, unless such other supply is approved for public use by the Board of Health and is maintained in such approved condition. If other than City water is to be furnished to premises previously supplied by City water, the owner or plumber doing the work shall give notice thereof at the office of the Water Department when such change is to be made, and provisions shall also be made for cutting off the City water supply at the corporation cock and disconnecting the service pipe. When the owner of the premises or an authorized agent has a direct connection between the City water supply and another supply which has not been approved, said owner or agent shall forthwith disconnect the same. The owners of any houses, buildings or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation or other purposes, situated within the City and abutting any street, alley or right-of-way in which there is now located a public water main, are prohibited from drilling any type of well for the provision of supplying potable water to the property.

Additional Property Attributes

The site consists of a former gas station located at 913 2nd Street and a former ice cream parlor located at 409 10th Avenue. The former ice cream parlor site is an approximately 0.2 acre trace of land that has been improved with a small building and parking lot. The former gas station site is an approximately 0.5 acre tract of land that has been improved with an approximately 1,650 SF building and a paved parking lot. The 913 2nd Street building is occupied currently by a statewide non-profit bicycling group.
