Additional Property Attributes

USEPA Assessment Grant funds have assisted with the Phase II assessment of a Railroad Overpass along Reed Street. Environmental Assessment of this area is necessary before the completion of a roadway extension that will pass under the overpass and provide the necessary road way infrastructure to support the planned redevelopment activities within the Reed-Putnam Urban Renewal Plan Area.

Former Use: Please note, the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency wishes to conduct Phase I/II assessment activities on a CTDOT property that will be the site of a railway underpass. See attached Schematic Drawing from Boring Plan This railway underpass will provide vehicular access to the mixed-use development now under construction on the eastern portion of the Reed-Putnam Urban Renewal Project. This property is referenced as CTDOT R.O.W. in this document. 31 Putnam Avenue is located immediately adjacent to the CTDOT held property.
