Additional Property Attributes

Ultimately the City of Mobile intends to redevelop and utilize the property for various municipal operations on the east side of town. (PPF - Albert P. Brewer Developmental Center, 4-6-07) Property is overgrown with vegetation and dilapidated classroom and dormitory type buildings. The engineering and maintenance building appears to be serviceable.

Former Use: 1970-open land. 1974-new center opened as mental health facility, owned by State. Housed 180. Engineering and maintenance generated waste. Closed-2003. Donated to Mobile - 2005.
