Additional Property Attributes

Concentrations of perchloroethylene that exceeded the Ohio Voluntary Action Program generic direct contact standards for commercial/industrial land use were detected in the soils beneath an operating dry cleaning facility. The extent of the impacted soils has to be delineated for lateral and vertical contamination. The City of South Euclid completed a development agreement with a developer by the end of 2007. The City has been approved for County brownfield funding for additional assessment, asbestos abatement, demolition, and environmental remediation monies. The cleanup should be completed by some point in 2009; with infrastructure beginning in late 2009.

Former Use: The City of South Euclid would like to redevelop this strip retail center into a mixed-use retail, housing, office and entertainment lifestyle center. The former use as a strip retail center included several drycleaners, and a wallpaper and paint retail store.
